Fine Art Infused Aluminum Printing involves a highly complex printing technique that turns archival ink into a gas, that is then pressed at the perfect time, using a combination of heat and high pressure, to transfer the vapor under the aluminum surface of a panel.

Once cooled, the aluminum panel traps the gas and creates a brilliant image with superior durability, offering scratch and chemical resistance. This infusion beneath the uppermost surface is the reason for the many benefits aluminum prints offer.

Yes, aluminum printing is used interchangeably with the term “metal printing.” Essentially, the process of aluminum printing consists of layering a sleek metal panel with an Image infused into the material, bringing both durability and simplicity to the final piece.

Beyond aesthetics, Aluminum Prints offer several practical benefits and unique advantages over traditional materials such as canvas or paper.

Aluminum sheeting provides a brilliantly clear and radiant image.

The Aluminum panels are 100% recyclable and made with recycled materials.

Aluminum is very durable, heat resistant and holds up very well in humid environments.

Metal prints are scratch resistant, and can withstand much more moisture than other types of prints.

Aluminum Prints can be cleaned without risk of damaging the Artwork. Unlike paper or canvas, metal provides the luxury of simply wiping away stains, smudges and other impurities, because of the protective surface coating that protects the dye underneath.

Metal prints provide the ultimate longevity. When compared to Images printed on paper or canvas, your Aluminum Print will look gorgeous for many years to come, and you are less likely to see any signs of aging.

ChromaLuxe metal panels have been proven by Wilhelm Imaging Research, the world’s leading authority on print permanence, to last three times longer than photographic paper prints framed under glass.

All artMARKet prints have 1/8” rounded corners that provide a polished finished look, while offering safety from pointed aluminum edges.

There is no need for matting or framing of metal prints. While metal prints can be framed, all artMARKet Prints use a frameless design, giving your Artwork a clean, modern look. Your art is ready the minute you receive it, and all artMARKet Prints include all the necessary hardware to properly mount your Limited Edition piece.

Without the need for matting or framing, Aluminum Prints offer exceptionally easy mounting. Contrary to a common belief that metal is heavy and therefore makes the mounting and hanging process more difficult than other print mediums, Metal Prints are surprisingly lightweight and easy to hang, as Aluminum is the metal print material of choice. In comparison to more fragile substrates such as paper framed under glass or wood framed canvas prints, the durability and lightweight frameless aluminum takes away the worry of damaging your print, walls or floor during the mounting process.

Metal prints are incredibly easy to install and hang.

All artMARKet Limited Edition Prints come with the hanging hardware, that includes a Standard Flush Box Cleat in Silver with top, bottom, left and right edges. This hardware has been designed to withstand dimensional variances that happen over time to structural walls. This means your artMARKet piece will resist flexing, twisting, warping or bowing while the Aluminum Process resists fading and cracking.

When you receive your artMARKet Limited Edition Print, carefully unpackage the piece, then simply drill the provided wooden back mount to the wall you wish, then use the cleat included to hang the Print on the mount.

The specifically designed cleat provides extra support, rigidity, and longevity, and comes installed flush to the edge, giving your Print more visible depth. The distance from the wall mount and the brace gives your Print the appearance of floating ¾” away from your wall for a sleek, modern gallery aesthetic.

While all prints fade over time, metal prints are more durable, fade resistant and hold up very well in humid conditions and sunlight.

There are a few simple steps you can take to ensure your artMARKet Print lasts even longer over the course of time:

• Wrap your print in bubble wrap when moving, storing or gifting.

• Take care to not drop the print. While aluminum is durable, dropping a print may cause it to become scarred, dented, or separated from the cleat. Like all art, metal prints are precious and should be handled with delicate care.

• Always avoid placing the metal print face down. Due to the infusion process, placing the print face down may cause the ink to shift and distort the image.

• Use a light dimmer or bounced natural lighting to display your metal print, rather than a spotlight or direct sun. While metal prints withstand sunlight and resist fading, using an indirect light source will extend the life of your print even further.

• Maintain some distance between your metal print and any other objects or picture frames you may have displayed. If the edges of your print are in constant contact with other items, especially hard surfaces, this will eventually wear out the protective surface of your Print.

• Don’t over clean. The best way to properly and safely clean an aluminum print is to use a small amount of streak-free cleaning solution and non-abrasive microfiber cloth. Wipe from the middle of the print towards the edges to ensure your metal print is free from dirt and streaks.

Cleaning Solutions:
Choose a cleaning solution that will refrain from damaging the color and/or metal.
Options include:
1. Water: while quick and easy in removing surface dirt from aluminum prints, it typically leaves streaks or smudges
2. Glass Cleaner: streak free glass cleaner removes both surface dirt and finger prints from metal prints
3. Rubbing Alcohol: using a very small amount of rubbing alcohol with a nonabrasive cleaning cloth will remove fingerprints from your aluminum print, and dry streak free.

• Do not use bleach or any heavy-duty cleaning solution, or a large amount of any solution as this could damage the surface of your Print.

Cleaning Cloth:
Choose a non-abrasive cloth that will not leave smudges on the print surface or dirt particles behind. Microfiber and lint free cloths are highly recommended. Always ensure the cloth itself is free of any particles before you begin wiping your Print.

• Avoid using hand towels, paper towels or tissue as they will leave streaks and lint particles. While metal prints are scratch resistant, steel wool and other abrasive cleaning tools will damage the surface of your metal print.

Cleaning Technique:
Clean once you’ve finished hanging your print to remove any fingerprints or smudges that may have occurred while mounting. To clean, lightly dip the non-abrasive cloth into your chosen cleaning solution. Alternatively, use a spray bottle to very lightly mist the metal print with the solution. Be advised, too much cleaning solution may cause streaks or surface damage.
With the non-abrasive cloth, carefully remove dirt and/or fingerprints by cleaning slowly from the center of the print outward towards the edges. This will aid in moving any dirt toward the edges of the print where it will be easier to remove.
If cleaning after the print has been mounted, take care to not dislodge the print from the wall while cleaning.
If you prefer to clean your print while dismounted from the wall, use non-abrasive cloths to handle the print when hanging to ensure it stays fingerprint and smudge free.

• Caring for your Metal Print is easy, simple and inexpensive. Follow the steps above to keep your artwork safe, clean and beautiful for many years to come.

Aluminum prints are ideal for areas of your home that are often a challenge to decorate, such as:

Your Kitchen

Many people avoid hanging artwork in the kitchen as they feel it might be damaged by heat, steam, water, stains and commotion caused by the activities occurring daily. If they’re not placed in direct fire or heat, metal prints work extremely well in this unofficial gathering place of most homes.

Your Bathroom

Metal prints add a modern, sleek and clean aesthetic to this room, and are well suited due to their humidity and water resistant benefits.

Foyer

The frameless floating effect of artMARKet Prints allows you to turn your entryway into your own art gallery, a great way to welcome guests or be greeted when returning home.

Living Room

The museum like aesthetic of frameless artMARKet Prints create an elegant understated statement piece that can subtly set the tone in the room where you “live.”

Children’s Room

With their safe round edges and ease to maintain and clean, metal prints are a great choice.

Personal Office/Home Office

artMARKet Metal Prints offer beauty and inspiration, while being low maintenance so you can use your few moments of free time to enjoy the art, rather than clean it.

Boardrooms/Corridors

Turn any boardroom or hallway into a gallery with a set of artMARKET frameless Metal Prints. The themed images will inspire employees and engage clients and visitors with their subtle elegance.
